Turkey Ravaged By Devastating Earthquake

Northwestern Turkey, as well as parts of Greece and Bulgaria were hit by a powerful earthquake that left over 3,000 dead and many more thousands homeless. The epicenter was near the Murefte village of the industrial city Tekirdag and measured 7.3 on the Richter scale. Entire town were destroyed with all their buildings toppled. In Chorlu, lamps toppled and fire broke out burning over 300 homes and most of the town. Most of the houses in Gallipoli are in ruins and people are sleeping in the fields. Many are without food and water.
