Sauerkraut Day In Iowa

Germania, Iowa is a small town at the top of the state most of whose resident are from German ancestry.

Sauerkraut Days is an annual festival to celebrate German food and culture. The first event held took place in Ackley, Iowa during the summer of 1902. Germania decided to have a sauerkraut Day of their own.
