Local Baseball Team On A Sunday In Michigan
Freedom Township is a civil township of Washtenaw County at the southern bottom of the state of Michigan. In 1831 James Hill followed an Indian trail and built a log cabin in the area. Settlers quickly arrived and by 1840 Freedom Township was a thriving community. Many new houses were built in the 1900’s. By 1912 Freedom was large enough to sponsor a baseball team that play local communities.
