Fire Drill In New York

In the wake of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire that took the lives of 146 workers in March 1911 fire safety in New York City, New York was made a priority. Stricter laws pertaining to fire exits and extinguishers were quickly implemented and workplace safety was focused on.

On October 9, 1912 a city-wide fire drill was held in New York City involving several businesses.
