The Balkan War

Military conflict has broken out in the European possessions of the Ottoman Empire between Balkan nationalities and Ottoman forces.

Italy which started a war in northern Africa with the Ottoman Empire in October 1911 had been conducting peace negotiation with Constantinople but now they have been broken off. Yesterday stock prices dropped in London, Paris, Berlin and Vienna is response to the conflict.

On October 13, 1912 Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece served an ultimatum on the Ottoman government demanding the Ottoman Empire to grant autonomy to Macedonia within 6 months. The Serbian army captured the city of Uskub and renamed it Skopje.
