College Football – Army vs Yale
The football teams of Army and Yale first met in 1893. Yale dominated compiling a 11–1–4 record against Army in the first 16 games.
The 1912 college football season has had many changes to the rules. Teams were given 4 downs instead of 3 downs to gain ten yards. The value of a touchdown was increased from 5 points to 6 points. The field was reduced from 110 yards to 100 yards and end zones of ten yards were added. Kickoff was made from the 40 yard line rather than midfield.
On October 19, 1912 Army and Yale met again at West Point. Yale won 16 – 0
