Halloween Aftermath In Nebraska

Halloween was originally influenced by western European harvest festivals and festivals of the dead particularly the Celtic Samhain. All Hallows Evening developed into a holiday with many practices including guising (costumes), trick-or-treating, bonfires and playing pranks.

On November 1, 1912 the citizens of Sargent, Nebraska were greeted with the sight of 7 buggies and wagons mysteriously transported to the roof of the Ottun & Martin building.
