Ottoman Empire Appeals to European Powers

War broke out in the Balkans on October 17th and has seen several defeats of Ottoman forces in different parts of the region.

On November 3, 1912 he Ottoman government in Constantinople appealed to Britain, France and Germany to intervene in the Balkan War asking that the Great Powers offer and if need be, enforce an armistice on the belligerent nations and force them to negotiate terms. Due to previous treaties and a delicate balance of power, it is doubtful that any major European power will access to these appeals.
