Deadly Train Crash In Ohio

On Dcember 3, 1912 a Cincinnati and Muskingum Valley passenger train was following a Cleveland Akron and Columbus passenger train on a single track between Trinway and Zanesville, Ohio. The engine of the first train broke down and a flagman was sent out but the following train was travelling too fast and too close. The engine slammed into the Cleveland train, demolishing the rear cars. In all, 8 were killed and 11 injured.
