Pietro Deiro was born in Salto Canavese, Italy in 1888. He emigrated to the United States in 1907 to live with his uncle and work in the coal mines of Cle Elum, Washington. Pietro began playing Diatonic button accordion professionally in a tavern in Seattle in 1908. With his brother Guido they became minor celebrities on the vaudeville circuit. Pietro has recorded dozens of records for the Victor Talking Machine Company.
On February 3, 1915 Peitro Deiro recorded “Comedy Overture” by Bela Keler at the Victor Record Company recording studios in Camden, New Jersey.
