Belgian General Visits France

General Sellier de Morainville was one of the few Belgian generals who advised the King of Belgium to fight against German aggression and the beginning if the war in August 1914. He has since been named the Commander of the training centers. gathering some 20,000 volunteers for the Belgian Army. Sellier has most recently been station in Normandy, France creating training centers for officers, non-commissioned officers and recruits.


On February 16, 1915 Belgian General Sellier de Morainville visited the Pépinère barracks in Paris, France. Here he is giving a salute during the Brabançonne, national anthem of Belgium.
